This album, Band of Brothers, was created specifically for our 2014 Men's Conference themed with the same title. Our aim is to inspire emerging Christian men of the city to take their place as godly protectors and defenders of the weak in urban communities.

The Band of Brothers was taken from Shakespeare's amazing play on Henry V, and highlights for us the important of spiritual warriors banding together to fight for the rescue of the dying in the cities of America. Our conference flier captures this sentiment: "D-Day (The Cross and Resurrection) has taken place but V-Day (The Return of the King) is still around the corner. We are in between these two “Days” as two Kingdoms continue to be in conflict. The Kingdom of Darkness is doing all it can to keep in bondage the souls of men. . . . God’s Kingdom [however] cannot be stopped though. Jesus Christ, God’s Champion, continues to set the captives free and is expanding and advancing his Kingdom by raising up an army of men from the city; Urban Warriors who know Why We Fight. These Kingdom soldiers have been given divine power to confront the Kingdom of Darkness. . . . Now is the time to take our cities for God."

This project was a wonderful collaborative effort. I wrote all the songs on the release, and contributed both lead and background vocals, along with rhythm guitars recorded by Dan Hennings, TUMI’s Technology Director. Bobby Gilmer, the Musical Director of TUMI Productions, produced four tracks on this album and Daniel Davis, my son and our IT and Media Specialist produced two tracks. Daniel Davis, also worked with those who mastered and printed copies of the release.
